great post on Wordpress! I love the examples you posted at the bottom.

....Barbarians! hahaha! :)

i say kick 'em where it hurts or tell them to go, you know..besides, who wants to get along with a jerk? unless, of course, you're trying to avoid being a b****.
[this is good]
Use good language. Be well spoken. There is language which is contrary and rude, and that kind of language while it may cause people to cede the point, won’t necessarily win them over. Use gentle language, and always phrase things in a way that shows that you are aware there is a difference of opinion and that is okay.

so true, so very true. thank you.

I just politely invite them to join me in a nice cup of kiss-my-ass!

Kidding. Miss Manners has nothing on you (except syndication, of course).
Thanks, everybody! It's good to know I'm providing a public service! *lol*

If you feel the need to always have other people agree with you, perhaps your convictions aren’t as strong as you think they are. So, before getting into a discussion, ask yourself a few simple questions: “Am I doing this to express myself?” “Do I feel like I need this person’s approval?”

Exactly. I did this just last night. I was desperate to convince my husband of something having to do with one of our kids and I realised it was because a) I was afraid I was wrong and since it concerned our kid, I didn't want to be and b )if I could get hubs to agree(who is rarely wrong when it comes to one of the boys) it would be all right. The argument would have gone on if he hadn't done what you suggest- abruptly agreed. Once he did, I knew I was wrong. And then I had to figure out what the real problem was, which wasn't fun, but was closer to reality. So- whew. You hit this on the head, kiddo. At least for me. BTW- I love your wordpress blog.
