Is it true? Is it real? Is the long awaited Boondock Saints sequel actually going into production? Troy Duffy wrote the sequel as well as scripts to two other films shortly after making the Saints, but then he disappeared into the vortex. Now he's back! EEEeeeEeeEeEeEEEEeeeee!

Uh what? My copy of boondock saints resides in a metal case enshrined upon my bookshelf next to Fight Club and Princess Bride... and yes I realize that I shall be going to hell for not watching it this past monday.

Actually, you would have had to watch it on Saturday. The Church moved the Holiday due to Holy Monday. :P Heh.

Regarding a sequel: I'm seriously worried. I'm worried because the Boondock Saints story seems to me to be a stand-alone tale. Solid. Nearly perfect. I understand the sequel will be about copycat Saints. I don't know about you, but that sounds L-A-M-E to me. Can a sequel hold true to the original film's allegories, or will it just be a blood-fest riding the coat-tails of a masterpiece?

I reserve judgement (ironically, considering the topic), but I am worried.
