Hi. good to see you. aren''t computers a challenge. lol
ps If I didn't tell you yet. I love your banner
It's not just the new Firefox. Vox has done something new as well, because I had to switch to Safari to use here, and it was working fine (even though when Vox was new it didn't work at all,) but now I can't do hardly any formatting with it either, and it's super crazy, just like Firefox.
I haven't upgraded my computer yet, so I'm not having any trouble with it at the moment. I hate it though when things that were compatible suddenly become uncompatible with an upgrade, whether it's in the website or the computer's system.

I did the latest Firefox update that was plunked onto my computer and have no problems. I don't understand that. Am I using an ancient Firefox by mistake? It's 2.0.0.14.

Not that I want problems, just can't figure out why I have none.

Viewing Vox in Safari, though, makes it look screwed up, so I never use it here.

Yeah, I'm not having problems, either, but when I was using the beta builds of Firefox 3, I did have problems.

I still can't get my LiveCD to work at all, so I guess I'll be slogging through things at the Ubuntu forums.
What I have is FireFox 3 Beta 5.

E-gads.

I still can't get my LiveCD to work at all, so I guess I'll be slogging through things at the Ubuntu forums.

Get the alternate cd. It has a textbased installer. There's a box you have to check that says "Check here if you need the alternate desktop CD. This CD does not include the Live CD, instead it uses a text-based installer." I haven't been able to use a live CD since Dapper. I also have to go into /etc/X11/xorg.conf and add "vesa" as the video card driver before I boot up for the first time. The first thing I do when I first boot up, then, is install the nvidia drivers. Hope that helps.
It's IE. Microsoft screws everything up. Basically, web developers build a website to web standards, then make it work for IE, which sometimes breaks it for the browsers that try to adhere to web standards. Firefox 3 is more web-standard compliant than Firefox 2.

Try Opera. It's acting really weird for me, but I can do formatting (as is evidenced by the above comment).
I'll take it under consideration-- I forgot to add that it worked. Once.

Any thoughts about the LiveDVD version? I'm booting from an OEM DVD burner.
Argh, I miss my Ubuntu box.

Have you tried using any other browsers like Opera? You could also possibly try the Netscape Browser. It should feel a lot like Firefox, though I can't say for certain - haven't used it in a while.
